Virginia was born in 1957. She was the daughter of William Fehr and Evelyn Mekeel. She passed away in 2017.

Virgnia M. "Ginnie" Leffler, 59, a longtime resident of Griswold, died on Saturday, May 6, 2017 surrounded by her family, after a long, quiet, courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bronx, New York on August 18, 1957, she was the daughter of the late William P. and Evelyn (Mekeel) Fehr. Ginnie worked in the Materials Management department at Backus Hospital for 29 years before accepting a position at Lawrence & Memorial where she has worked for the past 6 years. Ginnie was kind, caring, and graceful. She had a great sense of humor, was fun and witty and was the queen of clichés. Her love for her family was almost equaled by her love for animals. She loved all animals but especially adored her boxers, Dallas, Apollo, and Balboa. For many years, she volunteered her time as a chaperone for Griswold school events. She loved swimming and was quite an accomplished photographer. She will forever be loved by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her brother William Fehr.
