Jack was born in 1909. He was the son of Tom Felts and Laura Grant, and the first of the children born after Oklahoma statehood. He died in a car wreck in 1934. His next older sister, Vida, was always very close to him, and it is believed that her daughter, Jacque, was his namesake.
