CONTEE, Mrs, Sarah., died at Brookfield., P, G. County, aged 61 years, the wife of Thomas Contee., Esq., and daughter of the late Benjamin Fendall, Esq., of Chas, Co, (April 4, 1793)


Charles County Land Record Book L#3, 1761-1765; Page 385. Nov 10, 1763 from Thomas Contee of CC, Gentleman, to Thomas Handcock of .. for 4000 lbs of crop tobacco, part of a tract of land in CC called Noes Desert, bounded by a tract of land called Bettys Delight & a tract of land called Strife, a tract of land called Calverts Hope, containing and laid out for about 50 acres. Signed - Thos Contee. Wit - Ru Harrison*, Josias Hawkins*. Sarah, the wife of the sd Thomas Contee, released her right of dower to the within mentioned lands- Recorded Nov , 1763.


Charles County Land Records 1775-1782; Liber V#3; Page 570. Apr 1, 1782 from Thomas Contee of Prince Georges County, Esq, to Thomas Perry of CC, planter, for 16,000 [lbs] nett weight of good crop tobacco, all that tract of land in CC called Loose Cheese, bounded by a knoll on the west side of one of the branches of Burdicts Cr in CC called the little Dam, said to be a bounded tree of a tract of land called Thomas' Chance, containing and now laid out for about 156 acres. Signed - Thos Contee, Wit - Jno Harrison, Alex, Howd Magruder_ Sarah, wife of the sd Thomas Contee, relinquished her right of dower to the lands within mentioned. John Read Magruder, Clerk of Prince Georges County, certified that the afd John Harrison and Alex. Howard Magruder are J-Ps of his county. Recorded Apr 11, 1782.


Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records 1787-1789; Liber HH-2 {Abstract by Mike Marshall}; Page 460. At the request of John Baden s/o Thomas the following Deed was recorded October 9, 1788 Indenture made August 9, 1788; Thomas Contee, merchant in consideration of 215 pounds current money paid by John Baden so Thomas, planter and for divers other causes and considerations him hereunto moving has sold part of a tract called "Good Luck" containing 78 ¼ acres. Signed Thomas Contee in the presence of and acknowledged before Fielder Bowie, Robert Bowie and at the same time Sarah Contee wo Thomas Contee relinquished her right of dower
