Biography
Charles Ducker Fenton, son of Benjamin Fenton and his wife, Lucy Mapplebeck, was born on the 3rd of June 1812 and baptised at St Peter, Sheffield on the 11th of August. [1]
His first wife, whom he married at St Andrew Holborn on the 29th of December 1836 was Fanny Letitia Battye, [2] daughter of Charles Battye and his wife, Jane Crispin. Fanny died in 1845. [3]
On the 25th of May 1848 he married his sister-in-law, Emily Battye, at St Andrew. [4]
Charles died at 35 Hogarth Rd on the 28th of August 1889. [5]
