Lizzie (Fenton) Rattray signed the 1893 Women's Suffrage Petition

Lizzie Frost Fenton was born in Dunedin, New Zealand the daughter of John Albert Fenton, an Anglican cleric, and his wife, Mary Lister on 12 March 1856. In 1871 the family was in England, lodging at Uckfield in Sussex. [1]

The family moved back to New Zealand and on 1 March 1883 Lizzie married William Rattray at Auckland.

Lizzie presented one of the 13 separate petitions that made up the 1893 Women's Suffrage petition.[2]

She died at Parnell, Auckland on 12 August 1931.
