Biography
James Crosland Fenton son of Francis Fenton and his wife, Ellen Crosland was born on 19 August 1796 and was baptised at St Peter's Cathedral in Sheffield on 17 January 1798. [1] He was trained for the law and became a solicitor and seems to have married but had no children. [2]
James died at Torquay in Devon on 3 April 1858 leaving an estate valued at under £25,000. [3] He was buried at St Andrew at Clifton in Gloucestershire on 8th of April. [4] His death was registered at Newton Abbot. [5]
