Biography

Edith was born in 1840. She was the daughter of Francis Fenton and Frances Ashby.[1]

Christening Date: 17 June 1840
Christening Place: St George, Gravesend, Kent, England[2]

She married Reverend Samuel Henry Stocks (son of Samuel Stocks) on 26 September 1865 in St Michael, Wakefield, Yorkshire, England.[3]

They had one daughter.

Her husband passed away in 1871.

UK Census Date 1871: Living with her daughter Ethel in Monk End, Smeaton, Durham, England. Aged 31. Also in the household was her mother Frances and one servant.

Occupation: Clergymans Widow

Her daughter continued to live with her in Somersetshire, England until she passed away in 1924 at the age of 84.[4]
