Biography
The daughter of Horace Fenton and Rheumma (Abbott) Fenton, Flora was born in Rutland in 1833. In 1837, the family migrated to the Michigan Territory, settling in Lenawee County.[1] On May 17, 1851, Flora married Ephraim Husted Ranger (1822-1898), the son of Samuel Montgomery Ranger and Mary Polly Husted, who had migrated from New York to the Michigan Territory.[2] They had one son together, George Ephraim Ranger (1854-1873).[3] Her son passed away in February of 1873[4] and Flora passed away the next year, at the age of 41.[5] She is buried at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci, Michigan.[6][7]
