At the time of the 1850 Census, she is living with her mother, father, and four younger siblings in Decatur, Iowa. Her father works as a farmer while her mother is at home with the house and children. Hannah is the only child of the family that is attending school. [2]
On July 04, 1855, Hannah was married to Lafayette McClinthen in Woodford County, Illinois. [3]
The 1870 Census finds Hannah and her husband Lafayette living in Montrose, Iowa with their three children. Her husband is working in the local shingle mill while she is at home with their children, two of whom are attending school. [4]
Hannah Jane Ferdig passed away in June 1879 in Montrose, Iowa. [1]
