He married Savannah Eldrado Bagwell on September 19, 1890, in his hometown. They had eight children in 13 years. In 1900, he farmed on land that he owned free and clear. [1] In 1910, they were on the same farm. [2]
He died on October 23, 1933, in Pontotoc, Mississippi, at the age of 77, and was buried in Randolph, Mississippi, in the Oak Forest Cemetery. [3]
