Volney Everett Ferguson Obituary
The body of Volney E Ferguson, 95, who died in Perrin Convalescent Home in New Hartford Tuesday night, will be taken to the Spencer & Armstrong funeral home at Winnebago, Minn., for services at 1:30 p. m. Saturday. The body will be at Nottger-Schoof funeral home after noon Thursday until noon Friday when friends may call. Burial will be in Winnebago.
He was born Oct. 14, 1872, in North Lake, Wis., the son of Daniel and Mary Glines Ferguson. He married Emma Nichols in Winnebago Feb. 14, 1900. He had managed the Land-O-Lakes Produce Co. and farmed in Winnebago until three years ago when he came to New Hartford to live with his daughter.
Survivors include three sons: Archie of Winnebago, Don of Fair Oaks, Calif., and Merrill of Shakopee, Minn.; a step-son, Wesley Catlett of Mesa, Ariz.; three daughters: Mrs. Walter Perrin of Colorado Springs, Colo. Mrs. Alice Perrin of New Hartford and Mrs. Beth Pierce of Winnebago: 24 grandchildren and numerous great- and greatgreatgrandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, wife, a son and three brothers.[1]
