Hector Ross McLean was born at a farm near New Aberdeen, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, on the 11th of November, 1854. He was the son of Archibald Ferguson and Elisabeth McLean.[1]
He was the subject of a biography published in British Columbia from the Earliest Times to the Present, Volume III.[1]
He married Mary Lavinia Stevens at New Westminster on the 11th of August, 1880.[1]
He died at Mission, British Columbia, Canada, on the 7th of November, 1931,[2] and was buried in the Whonnock Cemetery, Maple Ridge.[3]
