Biography
James was born about 1827. He was the son of Robert Ferguson, farmer, and lived at Killycurragh as of 1850.
On 3 Oct 1850 at Oritor Presbyterian, he married Jane Glasgow of Killycurragh, daughter of David Glasgow. Witnessed by James Glasgow and William Ferguson.

By 1911 he had moved in with daughter Mary and her husband John Smith.
He passed away 10 Feb 1916 age 91 at the house of his son Robert Ferguson, Killycurragh. He was interred at Clare Churchard. The chief mourners were:
