Ann was born January 6, 1850 in Clinton County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Champ Ferguson and Martha Owen.[1]
She was age 16 when her father, Champ Ferguson, was hung for Civil War crimes. Ann married G. T. Metcalf on May 6, 1867 in White County, Tennessee. [2] Ann along with her mother Martha, husband and family moved to Kansas in 1872. Ann and husband, George Metcalf, had five children.
Ann passed away May 11, 1922 in Hooker, Texas, Oklahoma. She was laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery, Elk City, Montgomery, Kansas, United States. [3]
