Moses was born about 1750. He passed in 1814.
Moses Ferguson (2) was born before 1750 died in 1796, both in Chesterfield Co., VA. He first married Elizabeth Lively about 1770. She was born after 1750. He married second Elizabeth Baugh about 1776 in Chesterfield Co., VA. She was born about 1758 and died in 1802. All his children by his first marriage were born in SC. Looking at the dates of birth listed for the following children it is apparent that either some of the children are not correct, that they have the wrong date of birth, or that they are attributed to the wrong mother; corrections will be appreciated. (R‑1, R‑2) [1]
There were two Judith Ferguson's at the same time. The other one would be dau of Thomas Baugh and I believe she married Robert Ferguson the bor. of Moses.

"Bob Ferguson(kin to us through Daniel Ferguson)has studied Mose's family extensively and also obtained information from other Ferguson family researchers and reports the following: Moses and/or his forbearers came to this country as Jacobites from Scotland and settled in South Carolina in the 1700's. He and Elizabeth Lively had a number of children all born in SouthCarolina. One was Daniel, our GGGG Grandfather, who with wife Ester Peake migrated to Bayou Chicot, La. about 1808. There is also reported another possibility--Moses and Elizabeth came from Ireland. In any case, there are records of land being granted to Moses in South Carolina on Oct. 31, 1769 near the Wateree River in Craven County by King GeorgeIII. He also seems to have leased land from a Margaret Ferguson on Oct. 17, 1772 in the same county. This may also have been in the Camden district of South Carolina."

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Moses by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Moses:
