I've been looking for an alternative to Geni.com where I have a fairly large (but non-professional) family tree with lots of family members who have joined Geni over the years. Frustrated by the commercial nature of Geni and inspired by the WikiTree ideals (mission and honour code) I believe in the ideal of a single, open, global family tree. Looking to invite my family to move across too -- there are a few budding genealogists in the group which would be happy to contribute to the common goal.
