Biography
Ellen (Mary Ellen) Ferguson was born about 1855, her birth registered Melbourne, Victoria, as Ellen, the daughter of William Ferguson and Ellen Tompkins[1]
Marriage. In 1876, as Mary Ellen, she married Austin Alexander Folwell. [2]

MARRIAGE
FOLWELL—FERGUSON.—On the 13th January, 1876, at the minister's residence, Heathcote, by the Rev. H. Wallace, Austin Alexander, of Costerfield, to Mary Ellen, daughter of Mr. William Ferguson, of Graytown.[3]
After they wed, the Folwell family moved about a lot as seven out of nine children were registered in seven different places. They nine children. The birth registrations show the use of either Ellen or Mary Ellen Ferguson as their mother's name.[4]
Ellen Folwell died at Prahran in 1899, aged 43. Her parents were recorded as William Ferguson and Ellen unknown. [5]
