Giovanna Ferrara is born 6 December 1856 and baptized Joannam the next day. She is the daughter of Francisco Ferrara and Salvatrice Cinquemani. Her godparents are Leoluca Patti and Luigia Streva, a married couple.[1]
Giovanna marries Vincenzo Trombatore[2], son of Leoluca Trumbatore and Maria Ruffino, on 23 September 1877 in Corleone.[3]
Vincenzo and Giovanna have six known children: Leoluca (1878), Francesco (1881), Maria/Mary (1884), Salvatrice/Theresa (1887), Giovanna/Jennie (1890), and Cosima Damiana/Mary (1899).[4]

They embarked at Palermo, travel in steerage, and are going to New Orleans for a protracted sojourn.[5]
Giovanna dies on 6 February 1930 in Houston, Texas.[4]
Vincenzo dies on 10 March 1931 in Houston. He is buried the next day in Holy Cross Cemetery in Houston.[6]
