A story passed down through the family was that when Nancy Jane, daughter of James & Mary, died her parents went to the home and removed Nancy Jane’s body for burial. Peter told his children that he did not know where they buried his wife. They blamed him for her death. Nancy Jane died from complications of the delivery of their son Lee.
