Biography

Note: two or three men named James Ferris, all related, lived in Greenwich at about the same time. The town records do not distinguish them clearly. More research needed to sort them out.

Origins

James was the third son of Joseph and Ruth Knapp Ferris, born in Greenwich, perhaps in 1662.[2]

Marriage

James married Rachel M. (_____) Mead, as her second marriage after the death of Nathaniel Mead (before 1703) They may have married by 1701 at Greenwich, CT. [1][2]

Death

James died in Greenwich in July 1727.[2]
