Antoine was born around 1795 in France.
He married Marie LeBrasseur on 1817/05/05 in Paspébiac (Que). [1][2]
After giving birth to four children who all died of young age, Marie died in Paspébiac in 1831.
Antoine then crossed the bay of Chaleur and moved to Bas-Caraquet where He married Véronique Morais in 1838[3]. They settled north of ruisseau à la chaloupe (Morais Office, also called Sewellville) where He owned land. He passed away in 1857. [4][5]
Antoine (father) is now my main area of research if someone wants to help. He came from France to Paspébiac shortly before 1817. On his marriage records from Bonaventure in 1817 He is a said to be son of Antoine and Genevieve Mahi of Charlesbourg, Normandy France. Charlesbourg is in Quebec not in Normandie France. On the original marriage record (see image 2) when I look closer I see Cherbourg, Normandie France which is where I am looking for Antoine birth records and his parents marriage records. On the death certificate of one of Antoine's sons Michel who died in Bas-Caraquet in 1921 (see image 1), it is written that his Father Antoine was from St-Malo, France. The death certificate was signed by Lazare Ferron, Michel's son. The only sure thing now is that Antoine (Antoine and Michel father) came from France and boarded probably in St-Malo or Cherbourg (two main ports) to come to Paspébiac around 1815-1817, and that his parents were from Normandie. He prepared his arrival because He registered for a land claim in Paspébiac at about the same time (Gaspé Land Commission). He may have travelled on one of Charles Robin ship which travelled between St Malo and Paspébiac.
PRDH does not give a location for birth for Antoine Foran / Pharand. Does not mention 2nd marriage with Véronique, only 1st marriage with Marie LeBrasseur on 5 May 1817 in Paspebiac. .[6]
