Hi!

This is Chris from the Italy Project. As part of the annual project check-in, can you fill in the project survey? This will let us know that you are still interested in the project and which teams you'd like to participate in.

Thanks and have a great day!

Ciao! I created a thread for the Italy project teams here: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1091444/italy-project-teams-assemble

I hope you check it out. If I have you down for a team, let me know. If you still haven't decided, feel free to comment. Thanks!

Ciao! This is just a general check-in for members of the Italy project. I am checking to see who is still interested in being a member of the project as we go through some much needed restructuring. I was also wondering what teams you would like to be on. We’ve created teams for each part of Italy. North, South, Islands etc. They will be explained further in an upcoming g2g post. Stay tuned. For now, please let me know if you are still interested in the project and if you’d like to be a member of a team.

Dear Chris,

thanks for your advice, when I first tried to work Italy project I didn't find any project concernig the regions of Italy where the ancestors I'm looking for were settled (Piedmont, Veneto, Sicily and Puglia); I will have a look of what you reported in order to contribute to the new projects. I have to add that I'm still working to complete as much as I can the ancestor's tree i'm working on (I have three of eight main branches to complete), so my initially contribution won't be very significant. I hope to be more helpful in the future have a nice day Pierangelo

No problem, sir. We're doing some serious clean up in the Italy project and just wanted to check in and see where everyone stood. Completion of a tree doesn't really make a difference to us. Neither does skill level or significance. You work at your own pace. If there's any specific area of Italy you'd like to focus on, let me know and I'll see what I can do about adding you to it.

Ciao!

Hi Pierangelo,

Thanks for all your work on WikiTree. I noticed that you have recently added some profiles for pre-1700 ancestors.

Please review the Pre-1700 Profile help page with special attention to the sourcing needed for pre-1700 profiles. I'm sure you plan to add sources soon to provide evidence for the user contributed information in FamilySearch's International Genealogical Index (IGI) database but that really needs to be done at the time you create pre-1700 profiles.

Thanks,

Debi

Thanks Pierangelo for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz

Because Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects coordinating them is essential. Please ensure location data matches date of profile and avoid abbreviations. Add citations & links for sources to enable verification of data

The Italian Roots Project would be of interest. Adding the tag Italian_Roots will connect you

Explore Pre-1700 Projects list to find one that fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Read the goals & tasks of the project join if it fits

Questions please ask
