John W Fickett, son of Otis Fickett and Sarah Merritt was born on August 28, 1826,^[1] in Harrington, Washington, Maine.^[2]

He married Jerusha Susan Davis (1830-1904) on April 5, 1847, in Harrington, Washington, Maine. They had 11 children.
