Mrs Chenoweth, of Nypo, died with painful suddenness on Monday afternoon. She had been ailing for 15 months from heart disease and dropsy and had recently been under the care of Dr. Ryan, of Nhill, of whose private hospital she was for some time an inmate. On Sunday last she had a sudden seizure, but her condition did not occasion grave anxiety. On Monday it was apparent she was in a very serious condition. Mrs Chenoweth, who was 62 years of age, was born at Aldinga, South Australia, where she was married in 1873. Shortly afterwards, she settled on Yorke Peninsula, where she lived for seven years. In 1880 Mrs Chenoweth removed to Lorquon, in the Nhill district, and she remained there for 20 years, eventually migrating to Hopevale about 10 years ago. After residing there for 5 years the family settled at Nypo. She leaves a husband and family of nine children; Mr H E Chenoweth of Rainbow; Mrs J W Frew of Nypo; Mr H Chenoweth, Melbourne; Mrs T Willis of Pinnaroo; Miss Ada Chenoweth, Mr W C Chenoweth, Miss F V Chenoweth and Messrs G R Chenoweth and P A Chenoweth, all of Nypo.^[7]
