Biography

Article 16 Aug 1912 Mr Hermann Fiedler, near Australia Plains, met with a painful accident a few days ago. He was engaged in fencing, when he knocked a sensitive part of his knee with a crowbar, which caused a severe inflammation and agonizing pain. Dr Greiff, who was called for, found it necessary to perform an operation. The sufferer is still in a critical condition.^[1]

Mr Julius Herrmann Fiedler, who about four months ago was disabled from the effects of a knock on his knee, died at his residence on Friday last after a painful illness. The deceased was 40 years of age. A widow and three children survive him, for whom much sympathy is expressed.^[2]
