William, son of William Field (1796-1871) & Margaret (Campbell) Field (abt.1796-aft.1870), was born on 24 December 1825 in Brewer, Penobscot, Maine, United States.[1]
Marriage
William married Elzira Jane Oakes on 4 June 1853 in Brewer, Penobscot, Maine, United States.[2]
Life
In the 1860 census Wm (age 34) was registered in his father's household in Orono, Penobscot, Maine, United States, but was listed as "Mining in Cal".[3]

William Henry died in Coffey's Cove, California, as described in a letter of sister Eliza dated January 1879.
William was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Manchester, Mendocino County, California, United States with a death date of 7 January 1879.[5] The stone inscription states "Aged 56 yrs."
