Biography
George Field born 23 Feb 1811 in Brighton, Suffolk, MA a son of Job Field and Hannah.[1]
He first married Mary Kirker, on 3 June 1833 in Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts. They had one child, Sarah Jane, 1840 MA- 1912 MA. [2]
Note that his father's name is given as John L (this maybe a transcription error as it is not so clear in the old handwriting) on Brighton Births, Deaths, 1817-1845. Additional entries on this same page list their other sons as Gardner born 7 April 1814, and Horatio born 7 May 1810[3]
George was named in the birth record of his son. [4]
The Genealogy of the Goding Family gives marriage date of Octavia B Goding as 28 Nov 1845 to John Field, Octavia's birth given as 29 August 1819, death 26 Dec 1899, places not given. [5]
