In 1841, the Fielding family lived in Prestwich, Oldham, Lancashire, England. All members of the household were born in Lancashire. The household included James Fielding, 40; his wife, Ann, 40; their children, James, 15; Mary, 14; Betty, 11; John, 9; Sarah, 7; Joshua, 5; Martha, 3; Alice, an infant; and their married daughter, Ann Buckley, 20; her husband, James Buckley, 20; and their son, John, an infant.
