There is no record identified for the birth of Francis Fields. She may be estimated as born about 1750 in Virginia based on having daughter who married in 1793.

It is assumed that she is the Fanny Smith, wife of Childers Smith.

Childers Smith and Fanny Smith were the parents of Leddy Smith, who married John Langham on 4 Feb 1793 in Amherst County, Virginia, United States.[1]

Childers Smith is listed as dead on the 31 May 1777 Revolutionary War Rolls. He was a Corporal in the First Virginia Regiment.[2]
