Biography

Sadie Fields is a part of US Black heritage.

Sadie was the second child of Walter Allen Fields and Bertha C. Moulden.^[1]

In 1910 Sadie was an infant. Her mother Bertha was married to Walter Allen Fields. Bertha and Walter were living in Lucerne, Kings, California; the surname was recorded as Filds. Walter Filds (sic) was age 24, est b 1886 in Louisiana; his wife was Bertha Filds age 23 b Tenn; his son Fred was age 2; his daughter Sadie was an infant. Lucerne, Kings, California; 1910 Census.^[2]

In 1920 her mother Bertha was listed as married but Walter was not enumerated in the household. She was living in Lucerne, Kings, California with son Fred, daughter Sadie, son Walker, daughter Ruth and son Alfred.^[3]

Sadie's mother Bertha died in Kings County in 1928.
