Biography

Barrel organ grinder Ludvig Figoni and his wife Giovanna came from Italy to Göteborg in September 1898. They were registered in Göteborgs Katolska^[1]

In the birth record for his son, which is written in Latin, the Parochus, Julius Lohmeyer has written his given name in Latin as Aloysius and then within parentheses the Italian form, Luigi^[2]

Married and working as a barrel organ player. Living with wife and child in Gothenburg, Sweden [Source: Swedish Census 1900]

The family moved from Göteborg to Norrköping in 1907.^[3] They were transferred to the list of absentees in 1916^[4] and do not seem to have returned to Sweden.
