Joseph is the son of Jean-Baptiste Filion and Marie-Anne Bolduc.

Not to be confused with Joseph Filion, born 1735, February 28th, who died in April the same year. Death registry suggests this Joseph was born around 1742. [1] His family was living in Saint-Joachim, Côte de Beaupré.
