Biography

Thomas was presumed born about 1532. He married Agnes Finch, who died in 1557/8. He is mentioned in records a few months after Agnes' death as her husband ^[1]

He is presumed to have passed away in 1588.

Research Notes

The only reference available is a notation that Thomas is the husband of the late Agnes Finch in Mar 1558. No other information about him on this profile is sourced.

In the past, there has been speculation that this person is the father of Alice (Finch) Gentry (1540-abt.1625). If his birth year is 1532, he would have been only 8 years old when Alice was born. Since Alice's parentage is in doubt (no source), the birth date has not been changed, but either Alice is not his daughter or he was born earlier. No record of either Alice's birth or Thomas's birth are available. The only certain dates is that his wife Agnes died in 1557/58 and Alice was born in 1540.
