Biography

Edward Finch was born in New Kent County, Virginia. His father, Thomas Finch came to Virginia June 19, 1663, brought by George Morris. Edward Finch paid taxes on 300 acres of land in New Kent Co VA in 1704. [1]

Edward and his wife Martha were parents of children, born in St Peter's Parish, New Kent County, Virginia including:

  • Mary Finch, born April 1, 1688
  • Edward Finch, Jr. born September 30, 1688/89, died between 1738 and 1745, in Charles City County, Virginia, married Agnes Brothers [2]
  • Martha Finch, born 1693, died August 24, 1716, in New Kent County, Virginia
  • Henry Finch born February 15, 1695/96, estate settled 1754, in Charles City County, Virginia [3]
  • John Finch, born March 20, 1699 [4]

Edward Finch, Sr. passed away on 21 December 1718 in St. Peter's Parish, New Kent County, Virginia.[5]
