Biography

Edith Pearl (Findley) Bostic was born on 29 Jan 1883 in Pennsylvania, United States, daughter of Edward Howard Findley (1853–1926) and Sarah Ann (Murdick) Findley (1856–1932).

Edith died on 24 Sep 1947 in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, United States, aged 64.[1] She was buried in Thompson Cemetery, Hillsdale, Pennsylvania.

Edith married Edward King Bostic (born on 29 Apr 1876 in Montgomery Township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, United States; son of Jacob Meyers (Bostick) Bostic and Charlotte Anne (Notley) Bostic) on 2 Sep 1902. Their known children were:

Obituary

Mrs. Pearl Findley Bostic died in her late home in Montgomery Township, Cherry Tree R. D., this morning at 9:00 o'clock, following an illness of a couple of hours. She was a daughter of Edward and Sarah Murdick Findley and was born January 20 1883 in Dilltown, this county. Surviving are her husband, Edward K. Bostic and these children; Mrs. Isabel Frazier and Hugh Bostic, both o Williamsport; Mrs. Ruth Ake, Mrs. Pauline Farmer, Findley Bostic, all of Indiana; Mrs. Betty Biss, Pittsburgh; Marlynn Bostic, Blairsville and Mrs. Millicent Brickell, Alliance, O. The deceased was a sister of Mrs. Verna Morton, Penn Run, and William H. indley of Nanty-Glo. Coroner E. L. Fleming said the husband of the deceased had left the house early to take care o work at the barn and upon returning found his wife on the floor in her bedroom. She never regained consciousness and it was thought death had been caused by a cerebral hemorrhage.[2]
