Sheet 2A shows JF Finger (57), wife Ottillie P. (47) and children John J (20), Linda R (16), Flossie P (14), Isabelle E (10) and Hope Odell (7) living on their farm on Country Road. The farm is owned. He reports he was born in Indiana, his mother in Pennsylvania and his father in Germany. She report she was born in Missouri and her parents were born in Ohio. John was born in Oklahoma while the rest of the children were born in Missouri. JF is a farmer.

1940 - Missouri, Moniteau County, Tipton, District 68-17, 15 Apr 1940
Sheet 10A of the census shows John Finger (30) and wife Edmundee (22) living in the house they own valued at $750. Also living with them is his sister-in-law, Velma Spring (17). John reports he was born in Oklahoma and his wife and her sister were born in Missouri. In 1935 all were living in rural Moniteau county in 1935. They both report having an 8th grade education. John is an automobile mechanic who worked 52 weeks in 1939 and earned $712 while his wife worked as a machine operator in a garment factory and earned $420 in 1939.
