John was born in 1861 in the Colony of Victoria, the son of William Finlayson and Mary Holden.[1]
In 1885, John Alexander Finlayson married Eva Reed in the Colony of Victoria.[2]
He passed away in 1947, aged 86.[3]
Death Notice: FINLAYSON.-On July 18, at 45 Crisp street, Hampton, John Alexander, loved husband of Eva, and loving father of Arthur (deceased), Roy (deceased), Merle (Mrs. Lang), Bert, Howard (deceased), Arthur, Claude (deceased), and Connie (Mrs. Anderson), late of Ballarat, aged 86 years. -Come unto Me and I will give you rest.[4]
He is buried at Cheltenham Memorial Cemetery, Cheltenham, Victoria, Australia in plot 15*12*N.[5]
