Biography

Milton Finley was born in Winsor, Ontario to unknown parents in 1876.

According to the 1930 Census, he immigrated in 1878, when he was 2 years old.

The records for Milton Finley are sparse prior to his marriage to Della Claudine Faucett.

On 14 Oct 1903 Milton Fenley married Della Claudine Faucett in Menominee, Menominee County, Michigan. According to the records, she was living in Winesville, Michigan and Milton was living in St Louis, Michigan.

His son Raymond Madford was born on March 4, 1904, in Marinette County, Wisconsin.

His daughter Gladys Mae was born on 14 October 1905, in Washington.

His daughter Catherine Mary was born on 3 Jul 1907 in Elk, Washington

His son William G. was born 14 Jun 1910, in Camden, Washington.

On 29 Oct 1910 he crossed the border into British Columbia, Canada. He is recorded as a US Citizen. His occupation is listed as General Merchant and he lived in Elk, Washington.

His daughter Gertrude B. was born about 1919.

In 1920 Milton was living in Flathead, Flathead County, Montana with his wife, three children, a 10 year old niece, Cora S Burner and an 8 year old nephew, John E Burner. He worked as a mail carrier on a Star Route. He owned his home.

On 6 January 1923 Gladys Mae died in Flathead County, Montana and was buried in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell Montana.

In 1930 Milton lived on Swan Lake Road in Jocko, Lake County, Montana where he owned a stock farm. His nephew Lyle Dale, 16 years old was also living with them.

In 1940 Della and Milton lived in his home with William Fenby (her son) as head of the household, along with his wife, Mae Fenby and two children, Blanche E Fenby and Gladus M Fenby.

On 18 May 1941 Milton died in Lake County, Montana. I was unable to find a grave for him.
