Biography
According to his son David's memoir, John lost his farm in Lincoln County MO for inability to pay his debts. He sold his equipment at auction and moved his family to various locations near Stuttgart, AR for several years. After his daughter Annetta died in 1902 and hs wife died in 1904, he moved back to MO and rented a farm his sisters-in-law owned. He suffered a heart attack on Dec 06, 1924 and died early the next day. He, his wife and his daughter Annetta are buried in the David Wilson Cemetery on the old homestead
