Biography

Jane was born in Nebraska, and moved to Colorado in time for her to graduate from high school in Rifle, Colorado. According to her obituary, Jane graduated from the University of Colorado. It also states that she married Leo Wells in 1933, presumably in Colorado, but I have been unable to find this record. Her obituary says they lived in Fairplay, Dillon, and Grand Junction, before moving to California in 1952. Her father is listed as Paul Fischer, living in Beatrice, Nebraska and her mother and step-father live in Boulder. She also has a brother, J.W. Fischer and a sister-in-law Ruth Morris.

Research Notes

Jane and her brother are listed twice in the 1920 census, once living with their dad in Beatrice, Nebraska, and once with their mother in Boulder, Colorado.
Her death records gives her father's surname as Morris, as does her Find a Grave entry. Is this Paul Fischer's last name at birth?
