Irene Stacy, 87, a long time Parma resident passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 7, 2011.
Irene was born in Emmons County, North Dakota to Joseph and Armelia Fischer. (Father: Joseph Peter Fischer, died Oregon Mother: Armelia Erck, died Oregon) She was the youngest of 7 children. Irene married Claude Stacy on April 9, 1943. They had 3 sons.
In 1952 Claude & Irene purchased the Parma Dry Cleaners which they operated until 1978. Claude and Irene lived in Parma until 2002. Mom enjoyed sewing, painting, card games and traveling around the USA in her motor home, but her passion was fishing. Claude and Irene tried to make at least two trips a year to the Oregon Coast Salmon fishing and they fished lakes all over Idaho & Oregon at every opportunity. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings and her husband, Claude and many friends. She is survived by her three sons: Bob and wife Cindie & Ron and wife Karen of Boise and Lynn of Seattle, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Irene will be missed by her family. You will live on in our hearts Mom. Be at peace with your loved ones in Heaven. Services will be held at Aclesa Chapel, 8209 Fairview Avenue in Boise on Thursday, January 13th at 11 a.m.
