Timeline

1872 Edward was born on 1 October in Indiana to Wesley and Elizabeth (Hubbell) Fiscus.[1][3]

1880 Edward (8), his parents -- Wesley (40) & Elizabeth (41) -- and eight siblings -- Sarah (15), Eliza (13), Matilda (12), Cary ("Carrie") (9), Emily ("Emma") (6), Jesse ("Jessie") (3), Mary (2) and newborn Fannie (0) are living in Jefferson Township, Owen County, Indiana.[3]

1896 Edward married Cora Lindsey in Champaign County, Illinois.[1]

1900 The family lives in Urbana Township, Champaign County, Illinois. Edward and Cora have added two sons to their family: Erzie Robert ("Ergie" on the census listing) (3) and Earl Everett (about 5 months). The listing shows that both boys were born in Indiana; however, the couple was married in Illinois. Did they go back to Indiana for a while after they married? Or is the census wrong?[4]

1910 The family of four is now living in Ogden, Illinois, which is still in Champaign County. Erzie is 12 years old and Earl is 10. [5]

1917-1918 Edward registered for the World War I draft.[6]

1920 I was unable to find the 1920 Census listing for this family. Will look more later. Fiscus-32 17:39, 19 September 2014 (EDT)

1930 Edward (57) and Cora (54) are on their own again. They live in Urbana, Champaign County, Illinois now.[7]

1940 Edward (67) and Cora (64) continue to live in Urbana.[8]

1960 Edward passed away in Illinois. He is buried in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview, Illinois.[1][9]
