I am Charlie Fiscus nephew, Val Shaull. Neva (McClary) Fiscus was my Aunt. I have downloaded Charlie's Death Certificate given me by his granddaughter Julie Thelen. I did not know Charlie died in Oklahoma until I saw his Death Certificate. When I went into the US Army in 1966 Charlie and Aunt Neva lived in Portland. Neva died when I was in Vietnam in 1967. I lost track of Charlie when I came home. I found out he died and found his grave in Willamette National Cemetary in Portland, Or. He is buried with my Aunt Neva there. I have visited their grave a few times.
Until I saw Charlie's Death Cert. recently, I had assumed he died in Portland. I assume he was in Oklahoma visiting his relatives as his address was 2267 NW Glisan, Portland, Or.
My thoughts of Charlie, he was a happy, funny person. He was also an excellent carpenter. He made a gun case for my father's rifles. My dad was proud of that gun case. I wish I had a picture, but my stepmother inherited the house after my father died and I never saw it again. I always enjoyed going to visit Charlie and Neva. They had a farm for a while near Eugene Or. that i liked visiting. I miss them.
