Lovell says he married Eliza Hauser (b. ca. 1855) on 29 Jan 1874. In 1880, they had two children: Lemert (b. ca. 1875 in Iowa) and Harlie (b. ca. 1880 in Iowa)[1][2]

Research Notes

  • In 1895 at the time of the Iowa Census, two of Albert's sisters-in-law are living in his household: Almeda (Hauser) Fiscus, who was also married to Albert's nephew, B.F. Fiscus; Martha Hauser. There is also a Lany Hauser, male, age 9, but we do not know what his relationship is to everyone else.[3]
  • The 1930 Census shows an Albert Fiscus, age 75, living in the household of "Harlew S." Fiscus. I believe this is probably Harlie, but I haven't found information on the name of his 2nd wife yet. His first wife was deceased by this time. The only detail that makes me pause in this census listing is that they were living in California. I haven't seen information yet that Harlie moved to California. He was still living in Iowa when his first wife passed away in 1908.[4] -- Fiscus-32 10:24, 31 January 2017 (EST)
