Biography

Lucy Morgan Fish was born on 26 Jan 1780 in Groton, New London, Connecticut to parents Thomas Fish (1751-1827) Jr. and Lucy (Morgan) Fish (1756-1837). She was their first child.

She married Henry Avery on 20 Sep 1798 in Groton, New London, Connecticut. They had 11 children:

Lucy Morgan (Fish) Avery died on 28 Nov 1838 in Aurora, Cayuga County, New York.

This family was a component of the Aurora settlement, comprised of Connecticut and Pennsylvania pioneers who were dispatched to the central New York State region after the American Revolutionary War to occupy what was then a wilderness frontier.
