Biography

Bethany, also known as Bethana, was born in 1800 at Littleton Plantation, now Leeds, Maine, the daughter of Benjamin Fish and Elethea Fear.

She married John Lamb (1790-1838) at Turner, Maine on 1 Jan 1829. They were the parents of five known children.

The 1850 US census report for Turner, Maine shows Bethena [sic] (49) residing with her parents Benjamin Fish (75) and Elthea (76), as well as sister Elmira (37) and niece Abby Fish (11).

The 1860 US census report for Turner, Maine shows Bethany (59) residing with her father Benjamin Fish (84).

The 1870 US census report for Auburn, Maine shows Bethemy [sic] Lamb (69) head of household residing by herself. She has a personal estate of $50.
