Levi was born in 1832. He is the son of Nicholas Fish and Ellen Livesey. He married Susan Madden in 1865. After she passed away, Levi and his sister Isabel Fish (1834-1904) brought up their grandniece Isabel Sarah (Watson) Kay (1873-). He passed away in 1905.

In 'Darwen and its People' by J.G. Shaw, 1889: "The following is a list of his [Nicholas's] fourteen children:- Arthur Fish, died young; Fish Fish, died a few years ago; Catherine, wife of Thurston Rostron; Hannah, married to John Schofield, died lately; Isabel, died a long time since; George, died young; James, died in Blackburn; Alice, living in America; Seth Harwood Fish, living at Mill Hill; Jane, died young; James Livesey Fish, died a young man; Levi Livesey Fish, rate collector; and another Isabel, living."
Possible migration record, but unlikely as travelling alone two years after marriage to Susan.
