Biography
James was born in 1867. He was the son of Joseph Fisher and Alice Mason. [1]
He married Ellen Challinor in the West Derby district of Lancashire in 1892 [2]. The marriage took place in Seaforth, St Thomas on 7 December 1892, [3]. James was a ship broker, and the son of Joseph Fisher, also a ship broker. Ellen was the daughter of John Challinor, a commercial traveller. the marriage witnesses were Frank Mason Fisher, E H Miller and John Sefton Challinor.
James passed away at his home in Seaforth on 22 June 1901, the cause of death was peritonitis. A full account of his passing was published in The Liverpool Journal of Commerce dated 25 June. [4]
