Christopher Columbus Fisher was born in 1846 in Green Turtle Cay, Abaco, Bahamas to Christopher Fisher and Sarah Roberts.

Christopher Fisher married twice: first, about 1864, to Mary Sweeting, daughter of John William Sweeting; and second, about 1888, to Sarah Eliza Kemp.

Among his children with Mary: William Wade Fisher, Elizabeth Jane Richmond Fisher, Sarah Ellen Fisher, Christopher Fisher, George Burder Fisher, and Frank Fisher.

He and Sarah Kemp had a daughter, Mary Ellen Fisher, born in 1889.
