John married Sarah Ann Brown [2] in Rowan, North Carolina on March 21, 1848. [3] Sarah died shortly after their marriage, April 3, 1856 per her tombstone at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina.[4] There
On July 30, 1856 John Wilson Fisher secured a marriage bond to wed Christina Hartman (maiden name Peeler) [5] and they were married on August 5, 1856 in Mount Ulla, Rowan County, North Carolina [6] per the dated marriage license.[7] Together they had three children; Christina also had a daughter from her previous marriage, Sarah Angelina Hartman. [8]
Christina died November 28, 1875 and was buried at Old Sailor Reformed Church in Faith, Rowan, NC. [9]
John married a third time on July 25, 1876 to Mary Rebecca Gardner [10]
He passed away November 11, 1884 and was buried at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina. [11]
